Saïx

Name: Saïx, the Luna Diviner. Number VII.
Species: Nobody, as far as that is a species.
Personality: Saïx is a very loyal individual, though this loyalty will only be shown to a select few. He has remarkable capacity to be callous and cruel and thanks to having no heart, doesn't feel guilt over it either. While he remains calm and composed the vast majority of the time he is also a viciously ruthless berserker and when the occasion arises will relish the opportunity to let that part of his nature take control.

History: Saïx was the second to last member of Organization XIII to die. He claims his power from the moon, using it to enter a berserk state in which his eyes glow yellow and his scar splits wide across as his face, almost as though it acts as a seal.
Without a heart he has no compassion or sympathy and was, while not happy, at least content to follow the Organization's orders. His only real concern is reclaiming his heart and any and all who try to stand in the way of this will be removed.
While in the Organization he had a few run ins with the Keyblade Bearer and his friends. There is no love lost between them, however, possibly due to each side variously trying to kidnap, manipulate, and kill the other. The same can be said for Axel after his betrayal of the Organization.
Saïx is particularly unlikely to reminisce about his past, with anyone, so questions regarding how he lost his heart, or how he got the scar, are not likely to be answered.

Development

Arriving in Wonderland with no memory of anything beyond his own death, Saix's initial encounters with the other people trapped here only caused confusion. Some of them remembered him, although he had no idea who most of them were.
Before long, the obvious was revealed; this was not Saix's first time in the mansion.
His initial assumption had been that his previous departure had been of his own volition. He was quickly disabused of this notion, however, with a revelation from the Riku Replica: The last time he had been here, Saïx had a heart.
This information causes him to re-evaluate his initial assumption. If he had a heart and knew the likely risk of losing it should he leave, he would not have left of his own accord.
Discussing the matter with Vexen only clouded the issue further; Vexen had been close to the previous Saïx, although how close was not something he was inclined to discuss, and knew that the past of this Saïx was very different to the past of the one he had known.
Further revelations came from Kobato regarding future events within the mansion. Saïx, in his previous time here, had been fated to die. Did that still apply to Saïx now, or had the course of events changed enough? Only time will tell.
This was something that Vexen had not bothered to tell Saïx, however, and Saïx confronted him with the information, wishing to know if there was anything else he had not been told. Under pressure, Vexen admitted that there was, but that he would tell Saïx in time and not immediately. For the time being, Saïx appeared to accept that.
Unbeknownst to Vexen, however, Saïx manipulated Kobato's sweet and helpful nature, drawing the information out of her instead. Vexen and the previous Saïx had not simply been close as allies, or friends, but had been lovers, too.
Before Saïx could begin forcing Vexen to admit this, unwilling to believe it in its entirety unless Vexen admitted as much, the mirrors came out to cause trouble. Vexen's mirror said a lot of things to draw Saix's interest, teasing him with the information he was looking for.
After the mirrors had been forced back where they belonged, and the captives of the mansion began to regroup and recover, Saïx had more questions that Vexen was persistently unwilling to answer.
The Replica, taking an opportunity for light hearted mischief, fell afoul of Saix's lack of a sense of humour, eventually finding himself bound with duct tape and left outside Vexen's door with a message taped to his head reading, “Make it behave. I don't care how.”
Halloween sees Saïx costumed in a wolf pelt and not very much else. It also sees him lose his voice to one of the ghosts when he infuriates it.
A different event brought distraction in the form of revealing more about Saix's past than he was content to have on display, and Vexen took the opportunity for a little revenge, forcing Saïx out if he wished to have the remaining stitches from his encounter with Vexen's mirror removed.
Saïx and Vexen continued to circle each other for a while afterwards, until eventually, agreeing on an equal trade of information basis, Vexen admitted to what Saïx had already known all along.
Christmas came within the mansion, bringing with it a pet for Saïx. A gift from Beast Boy (who had requested a heart for him, but which was never delivered, as well as a girlfriend), that has been named Soma, Saïx is perhaps more tolerant of the baby velociraptor than he will readily admit.
New Year's hailed celebrations within the mansion, and a lot of alcohol. It also brought a childish prank played on Saïx, dying his hair bright pink as he slept after a little too much alcohol. Saïx didn't take this with good humour.
A musical event only signified a further loss of decorum and dignity for Saïx, not just in the fact that he found himself singing all day, but because of an unfortunate meeting with Vexen that blew out into a full length duet, complete with a kiss.
Which Beast Boy got unreasonably angry about on Vexen's behalf, due to Saix's refusal to apologise.
In all the time that Saïx had been in the mansion, searching for a way to reclaim his heart once again had never been far from his mind. A chance conversation with the Hare made this possibility suddenly within reach, for an extremely high price. Saïx took the time to think about it.
And then made the exchange. All his memories of his life prior to being a Nobody was a high price, but for a heart, it was worth it.
Unfortunately, that heart didn't come from nowhere, and Saix's mirror took the real Saix's gain as his own loss.
The morning after recovering his heart, Saïx found Vexen's corpse, drained of blood, with no sign of a struggle. Carrying Vexen's body to his room, with the help of Kobato, Beast Boy, and the replica, Saïx told no one, as yet, that he had his heart back.
Until the next day, berating Beast Boy for his overenthusiastic declaration that there was a vampire in their midst. Beast Boy's reaction was muddled to say the least, but not as confused as the way Saïx felt.
Vexen returned to life in time for a tea party event, and something resembling a tentative truce, if not the start of a new page of their relationship together is established.
But all was not as peaceful as it seemed, and come Valentine's Day, something was a little off with Saïx.
He'd been replaced by his mirror. The previously unseen Alice put up a note informing the rest of the mansion as to what had happened, and word soon spread.
The mirror was accepting enough, but went into hiding once other mirrors arrived to retrieve him. Meanwhile the rescue operation arrived mirrorside. Saïx wasn't pleased to see them. With the crossing over of so many, a number of people who hadn't been in the original rescue operation landed mirrorside anyway. Vexen found a way to communicate with Saïx from the other side of the mirrors.
After the death of Coraline, who had only tried to help, Saix's mirror surrendered.
Saix was less than pleased once he returned to his rightful side, but before long, the rest of the mirrors departed, too. His mirror was punished for his disobedience by the Queen.
But things couldn't quite return to normal so easily after some of the revelations by Saïx's mirror, and Vexen had things to ask.
Some time later, Saïx and Vexen are thrust together again for an event in which they need each other to fight off an invasion of corrupted Heartless. They antagonistically put up with each other relatively well.
Until one event where tempers are frayed for no good reason. It doesn't end well, and Saïx suffers his second death at Vexen's hands.

Friends

- Vexen - - On first arriving in the mansion, Vexen was of considerable help. Things are tense between them now that Vexen's secret is out in the open, and Saix's antagonistic and manipulative behaviour towards him did not help. With his heart back, and the memories of his past gone, Saïx, is now less antagonistic towards Vexen, if not nearly friendly, but Vexen doesn't forget so easily.
- Kobato - - A sweet if unfortunately gullible girl, she knew Saïx from his previous time in the mansion, and Saïx has been unwilling to reject her company largely because of this. He will protect Kobato with the same ferocity that he will Vexen, despite the fact that he has used her once already. Due to the sweet nature of Kobato, Saïx finds himself compelled to openly treat her with more kindness than he does most.
- Beast Boy - - Though Saïx doesn't suffer fools, and has little patience for the unintelligent, Beast Boy is a special case. The child has moments of unorthodox brilliance, and a persistence that Saïx quietly respects. Although his moments of idiocy are numerous, Saïx still finds himself friends with Beast Boy. He also bears the dubious honour of being the new Raven, and has already been gifted with heart-shaped maracas and a pet velociraptor.
- Kite - - Less of a friend and more someone else to smack Beast Boy around the head when he is being stupid, Saïx doesn't object to combining forces with Kite, usually against Beast Boy.

1. Saïx's Mirror Self rescues Kobato from the mirror of Eiko, and exchanges words with Vexen.
2. Vexen conveys a message in blood from beyond the mirrors which Saïx sees, just in time to meet Kobato's Mirror. [Comment log]

5. Halloween, in which Saïx has lost his voice and has to communicate through sign language. Cue the Replica taking advantage.
6. After much badgering, Vexen agrees to remove Saix's stitches. In the middle of an event in which Saix's virginity is on display in the form of cat ears.
7. During the musical event, Saïx and Vexen find themselves duetting The Song That Goes Like This from Spamalot. [comment log]
8. Meeting with the March Hare, Saïx recovers his heart, in exchange for a lifetime of memories.
9. In the library, Vexen's body is found.
10. Beast Boy discovers that Saïx has his heart back, although things don't go as smoothly as they might have. [Comment log]
11. Vexen recovers in time to be put into yet another dress, but he isn't the only one.
12. Vexen, Saïx, a beach, and a lot of questions.
